Consumption of Alcohol, Red Wine and White Wine

Alcohol is a drink that carries recreational drug ethanol (the type of alcohol that is produced by fermenting grains, fruits, and other components of sugar). The chemical name given to alcohol is ethanol which is an active component in alcoholic drinks such as wine, hard alcohol, and beer. Ethanol is the most common and oldest chemical recreational component which provides the effects of drunkenness or alcohol poisoning.

The consumption of alcohol has been used for centuries which is legalized. It is consumed for lowering anxiety but people consuming alcohol suffer from various disorders. Alcohol is consumed in three forms such as wine, beer, and hard liquor.



1.) Wine: It is an alcoholic drink which is made by fermentation of fruits such as grapes, berries, or pomegranate. Wine is classified into two categories: 1.) Red wine 2.) White wine. Some examples of red wine are cabernet, merlot, pinot noir, etc. While pinot grigio, riesling, etc are examples of white wine.

In comparison to beer, wine has more concentration of alcohol in it. Studies have suggested that consumption of wine in a moderate manner which equals a glass per day prevails various benefits in the human body.

Wine has a great concentration of polyphenol antioxidants, especially red wine which helps in decreasing the risk of heart diseases. Therefore other studies prescribed that it does not reduce blood pressure or help those people who already are dealing with heart disease. Even a casual glass of red wine will help in soothing the developing depression. Though drinking out of way can also cause a reflection of depression.

Wine contains anti-inflammatory properties which help in the reduction of inflammation. Inflammation is dangerous which increases the risk of cancers, heart diseases, and autoimmune disorders.

In comparison to red wine and white wine, red wine has more benefits as it has the consumption of grapes in making which is concentrated.

On a note, drinking much of alcohol is associated with negative impacts on the body as it burdens with various risks such as diabetes, liver disease, heart disease, cancers, and pancreatic disease. Therefore such benefits can prevail with the consumption of a balanced diet.

2.) Hard Liquor: Liquor is the term used for hard drinks that have high containment of alcohol such as vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, and tequila. As liquor has more containment of alcohol in it than wine or beer, therefore it is mixed with juice, soda, or water.

Liquor is processed by distillation (a process of separating the substances from a mixture of liquid either by condensing or boiling) of fruits, vegetables, or grains. Liquor is gone through the process of distillation for removing substances such as water for the purpose of increasing the content of alcohol in the hard liquor. Consuming a heavy volume of hard liquor affects the working of brain cells as it can lead to neurological problems.

3.) Beer: Beer is referred to as one of the oldest and third most preferable drink after tea and coffee. Beer is brewed from barley, yeast, water, and hops. Using hops acts as a preservative and adds bitterness in the taste of beer which results in variations of flavor. Instead of using hops for adding flavors herbs, fruits and gruit can be used.

Beer is available in cans and bottles.  Bottling is important as it becomes a task to preserve the beer from being contaminated through stray yeast. Being in touch with oxygen the life of beer can be reduced.

Some studies have showcased the mythology of beer helping in preventing cancer or even treating it. Beer is a good source of receiving silicon, which is an important component in building the muscles and bones. Some research has shown that the minerals found in beer are quite easy and factual to metabolize.

Beer is also counted as beneficial for people who deal with heart diseases. The green female flowers of the hop plant provide a bitter and tangy taste in the production of beer. These tangy green buds are a source of the component which is known as bitter acids. These bitter acids are a great fighter of inflammation.

Consumption of beer in a moderate way which equals 12-ounce glasses a day is possible safe but if taken more can cause various side effects on health. Some of the risks can be counted as confusion, emotional breakdown, blackout, seizures, drowsiness, hypothermia, diarrhea, bleeding, flushing, irregular heartbeat, etc.

Various studies have proven that moderate consumption of alcohol has been associated with certain benefits in regards to health. Moderate drinking counts to 1 drink per day for women while 2 drinks per day for men.

Therefore consumption in excess can limelight various immediate risks developing chronic diseases. Some breathtaking serious effects are the risk of cancer, digestive problems, development of blood pressure, heart disease, memory loss, social breakdown, poor immune system, and anxiety.

Consuming more alcohol than a moderate manner will eventually increase BAC. Alcohol once consumed cannot be removed by puking or taking shower. The only way to lower BAC is to get time within the consumption period.

Alcohol intake will make you act in a different way which normally you wouldn’t. People can socially disgrace themselves, may feel like committing the anti-social acts, an activity which can embarrass you. Such behavior will eventually affect relations with friends, family, teammates, neighbors, etc.
